Projet Street-Art à Berlin

Konvikt Mural Project

Du 24 juin au 1er juillet

Le theologisches Konvikt de Berlin (foyer universitaire) organise un projet de fresque collective sur le thème de l'Histoire et de la démocratie cet été :

We cordially invite you to our workshop “Die Mauer muss weg” | “Tear down this wall.” It will take place from Wednesday, June 24, through Wednesday, July 1, at the Theological Seminary. As part of the “Jugend erinnert” project, funded by the Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship, a mural will be created on the grounds through a collaborative process. The workshop with the students will be led by Colombian street artist and political activist Ana Villa (https://www.palabrerasycallejeras.org/). In addition to graffiti workshops and discussion panels, the program also includes historical tours on the history of the Peaceful Revolution and the role of the Konvikt, as well as a graffiti tour and a visit to the German Bundestag. The program will be conducted in English. Subject to approval by our landlord, Hilfswerk Siedlung GmbH, and the historic preservation authority, the mural will then be permanently installed in the Himmlische Höfe.

As early as next week, there will be two preparatory discussion sessions with artist Carmen Caro, the former director of the Federal Agency for Civic Education and former Konvikt student Thomas Krüger, and theologian Dr. Ellen Ueberschär. Both discussions will also be streamed via Zoom for international guests.

Registration for the program is still open: https://forms.gle/MLJrxrJBRYVhheSk6
